At a glance guide to the current medical standards of fitness to drive

The At a Glance booklet is available to view online in PDF format. To be able to view PDF documents you must have a PDF viewer installed on your machine.  Adobe Acrobat Reader is by far the most popular PDF viewer and is available free of charge using the link below.

You may also wish to save the booklet to your desktop or print a copy for future reference. The PDF version of At a Glance can be navigated using the thumbnails and bookmark links on the left-hand side of the booklet and by using the highlighted links, contents and index contained within the booklet.

Alternatively, the ‘At a Glance’ booklet is also available to view as HTML by following the instructions below. Please be advised that there may be some loss of formatting when using this method.

1. Enter ‘aagv1’ into the search box in the top right corner and select 'Go'.  The search engine will display results in the following format:
   • a page title;
   • a summary of what the page is about;
   • which section of the DVLA website the result is from.
2. Find the 'at a glance' document from the results
3. Select the option ‘view as HTML’
