Open: Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. On the second Wednesday of each month the office will be open from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm.

Directions

By Car

General:

  • M42 leave at Junction 6 onto A45 signposted Birmingham City Centre
  • follow the A45 for approximately 3.5 miles
  • at the traffic signals, turn right onto Sheaf Lane (Sign posted Garretts Green)
  • at the roundabout take the second exit onto Sheldon Heath Road
  • follow Sheldon Heath Road for approximately 0.5 miles
  • at the roundabout take the sixth (last) exit onto Garretts Green Lane
  • follow Garretts Green Lane for approximately 0.5 miles
  • turn right onto Granby Avenue, the local office is located toward the far end of Granby Avenue

By Bus

From Birmingham City Centre are as follows:

  • 13, 97, 97A all go to Garretts Green Lane
  • get off at 'Meadway' McDonalds and walk along Garretts Green Lane until you see the DVLA directional sign
  • turn left into Granby Avenue and walk to the end of this road, the office is set back from the road on the left

Buses from alternative destinations to the same bus stop are Solihull/Chelmsley Wood, number 72 and Sheldon, number 689.

The journey from the bus stop will take approximately 10 minutes on foot.

By Train

The journey from the station will take approximately 15 minutes on foot.

  • exit Lea Hall station on the Lea Hall Road side (car park and bus stops outside station) 
  • turn left and walk along road until you come to a roundabout, walking through the exit opposite 
  • cross the road and walk along Garretts Green Lane (McDonalds on your left) until you see the DVLA directional sign
  • turn left into Granby Avenue and walk  to the end of this road where you’ll find the office set back from the road on the left
